I am sure you made this experience already before. It is very hot outside and the heat makes you feel very down, dizzy, tired and worn out. Your energy level is very low and how often you refresh yourself you still feel very hot. My great grandmother used a simple trick to refresh herself on hot days. She ate cucumbers. Either raw or as salad with a yoghurt dressing. The cucumber consists of 95% water and inside there are a lot of minerals and vitamins included. Eating a cucumber has the same effect like drinking an electrolyte drink.

The skin is very good if you have digesting problems. When you feel very full you should eat a few slices of cucumbers with skin and it will boost your lame digesting system.

Last but not least there is a big effect for your skin. It is not just a joke to put slices of the cucumber on your face. Because of the high water content and its minerals, vitamins it has a very relaxing and refreshing effect for your skin. A cucumber is the perfect food for your skin.
